So if we were at rolls, i would continue with them:D

I think this would be a good recipe for those who want to make something easy, yet unusual for New Year's eve party. I find it a very joyous and playful recipe. But i also bake them for random friend's night or to have instead of sandwich for school. It's fun also to make for children's party. Recipe idea is from a lovely hungarian cooking magazine, but you decide what you want to put inside:)

So for 10-12 rolls (filling one pan) you need:
1/4 kg of flour
1/2 pocket of dried yiest (1/4 of fresh yiest- small cube type)
1-2 teaspoons of honey
1dl warm water (not hot)
1,5 tablespoon of olive oil + 1tbspoon for sauce
salt, pepper
oregano (if there's no fresh dried can work too)
basil (if you like)
grated semi-soft cheese
seedless black olives sliced
1 dl tomato sauce or chopped tomatoes (i use italian canned chopped pizza tomato, that has sauce and tomato cubes also)
2-3 pieces of garlic

Mix the flour with dried yiest, a pinch of salt and the honey adding warm water and olive oil, kneeding, until you get a soft, yet not sticky dough. (If using fresh yiest, you should let it rise in the warm water with honey or a teaspoon of sugar and then add to the flour mixture)
Cover the dought and place it somewhere tenderly warm for at least 30 minutes to rise. After this time take it out on floured surface and kneed once more and again placing for 10-20 minutes of rest to double its size.
While the dough is rising make the pizza sauce:
Chop the peeled garlic finely and fry it gently on olive oil, adding the tomato and seasoning with the salt and pepper. Stir it from time to time, until it becomes a thicker sauce and before the end add the herbs.
When the dough rised, take it to a floured surface and with a rolling pin make a rectangular shape from it (1cm thick).
Until now you must have realised it is very similar to cinammon rolls making [link] .
Add the tomato sauce evenly over the surface, sprinkle with a little salt, the black olives and the grated cheese. (If you want you can use finely chopped salami, slightly cooked and chopped mushrooms, onion whatever you want)
Roll the rectangle, then slice it, getting 3 cm thich rolls.
Flatten them with your palm and place in a lined or greased and floured pan.
Bake them in preheated oven. Time depends on the heat. I prefer baking them not too rapidly and i am not good in remembering baking times. I guess it was somewhere around 20-30 minutes. But please check, because i am not sure. (I will make them some night before new year and then i correct it here:) )

And have happy happy old year days! :snowflake:
