SPAGHETTI (how I usually do;p)

For 2 person:
half packet of durum wheat spaghetti (around 200g)
around 2 dl tomato souse
few bigger slices of soft salami
some cheese
1 little onion
1 big piece of garlic
4-5 big basil leaf
some olive oil
maize starch (around 1 full teaspoon)
salt, pepper

Put a liter of cold water to boil...put some salt and oil in it then put the spaghetti in it...it's said it gets ready in 8-12 minutes depending on what type you use, but I say taste it to be sure it's ready and its not yet overcooked. Spaghetti (and macaroni too) is awful if you overcook it and it becomes sticky and gummy. Put into some cook filter (or I don;t know how we call it:D ) and wash it with a bit cold water (but not much to don't make it cold)

Put some olive oil in a pan...chop the onion and garlic into small cubes and put on the oil and fry it a little bit. Then pour the lil salami cubes on them and fry it together for a minute and after that pour the tomato sauce and let it boil. Dissolve the starch powder in a little cold water (3-4 spoons) and pour into the sauce and stir it well to don't be lump. Till it boils again stir it continuously. With few minutes before you have finished mince the basil and put on the sauce, flavour it with salt and pepper (if you like it bit sweet you can put some very little sugar).

After all is ready put some spaghetti on a plate, pour sauce on it, grate cheese on it and decorate it with basil leafs.

mmmmm....i usualy dont like spaghetti but this looks delicious :)

---well i find it delicious...but I don't know if you liked or not....right yesterday a friend blamed me badly cause I don't use oregano in spaghetti and almost called me dumb because he says all Italian food has to have oregano as basis...hmmm... I don't care much about it...it's my style, my choice what I use in it... I am not copying recipes but trying to create something new and simple---
---anyway it wasn't a great experience to hear him blaming...but well ya we have to learn to take negative critique too with risen head, not only congratulations:D---

Well, I'm Italian and we don't put oregano EVERYWAY.
But I don't even put salami in it...

sincerely speaking it doesn't look ... very good... to my eyes... but the recipy of the eggs looked absolutely cool and ximple.

mh, i have a couple of suggestions to give you to make "italian style" spaghetti :D

1st: don't put oil in the water
2nd: don't wash the cooked pasta, you wash flavour too!
3nd: make the salsa before the spaghetti, and put them inside the salsa's pan as soon as you removed the cooking water, keep them on the fire stiring 30 seconds before serving (they will be more tasty).
